Hello, lovely people! So glad to have you stop by! Welcome to our weekly artist feature devfeatures and AllArtandStuff.
Each week you can enjoy a small selection of artists working in various media. I pick artists based on their distinct style and their mastery over their respective craft. For this week I'm proud to introduce you to kristmiha, dinabelenko, trilobiteglassworks. Make sure you let the artists know what you enjoy about their work or just leave a word of encouragement. I hope you leave with at least a few new favourites and if you enjoy the feature, fav it or share it and help spread the word.
Feel free to send me suggestions for next week’s feature in the comments below. I will look at and consider each suggestion and if I don’t feature them in this segment, they will be included in the Member’s feature the same week.
What I love about Krist's work is its spontaneity and liveliness. He explores a huge variety of characters, settings and narratives but he always approaches them with a huge emphasis on composition and motion. Each of his works is dramatic and dynamic in its own way with a beautiful atmospheric lighting and interesting characters. I am especially drawn to his painterly style and the way he expertly controls the textures and levels of detail in his pieces.
We're jumping into the crafts category where it's difficult not to come across this distinct gallery. It's full of tiny organisms and cells zoomed in on through the medium of glass. I've been fascinated with this artist's meticulous approach to the narrow theme with such a captivating sense of wonder and curiosity. With most of their work you not only get a beautiful glass creation but also a little bit of educational trivia about the different parts of the cell.
Dina's photography is something truly unique and memorable. She is one of that rare breed of artist that focuses exclusively on still life. But her works are anything but still! They exude energy, character, movement in a way that inspires and enchants. When looking at her photos I get a sense of magic and fantasy, not unlike a Wes Anderson movie but with her own distinct touch and style. As Dina puts it expertly herself:
I am a photographer, who specializes in creative still life images. I like to tell stories about inanimate things. Every object around us keeps our emotions, expectations, feelings, every single thing grows old and breaks down just like we are. I believe that the portrait of thing can be so meaningful and so important as the human portrait.
